A forklift driver in a warehouse in Moscow brought a new meaning to the phrase “drink-driving” when he managed to smash into a pallet rack holding stocks of thousands of bottles vodka and cognac bringing the whole lot crashing down causing a domino effect across the warehouse.

You could say the driver was well and truly under the influence of alcohol!

The whole incident was caught on surveillance camera, which you can see above.

The fork lift operator appeared to back- up just a tad too fast and bumped into the edge of large pallet rack.  It is understood that his foot slipped on the accelerator and reports say he only suffered a minor leg injury.

The cost of the damage that took less than five minutes to cause, was estimated at five million roubles which is something like 117 thousand euros!  What a financial “hangover” that is!

Imagine explaining this to your boss.
