Are you a musician, painter, writer, dancer, filmmaker, or take part in any art form for that matter?  Maybe you have a project you’ve always dreamed about starting but don’t have the publicity or funds you need to launch it.  Or maybe you are looking for a project to be part of?

A group of students at the University of Luxembourg recently came up with the idea of a cool website to address all this, aptly named FansNextdoor, in a concept known in several different guises: crowd funding/financing or, community-funding.  The aim of the site: to help artists launch their dream projects by involving the on-line community in active and fund-raising roles.  At the same time, placing a project idea on-line gets it “fans” and publicity!
