Bee colony causes a buzz in Esch

Café employees and customers received a shock on Friday when a colony of bees emerged from a terrace parasol.

The 30,000 buzzing insects were discovered when the café owner opened the parasol to allow customers to shelter from the blazing sunshine.

Buzzing loudly, the panicked swarm prompted customers to flee the venue.

Eventually, two bee expert were called in to deal with the farce.

Equipped with protective clothing, the specialist managed to round-up the unwelcome tenants and move them to a safer place.
