DESSO Sports Systems gain recognition from UK based chamber
Not to be confused with the British Chamber Of Commerce For Luxembourg (BCC.lu) the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Great-Britain (BLCC) has awarded the Belgian company Desso the Golden Bridge Export Award, due to having the strongest export performance to the UK.
The award is set up to recognise exports made by Belgian and Luxembourg based companies to the UK.
Desso Sports Systems is internationally renowned for its innovative artificial grass pitches for football, hockey and rugby, and is particularly noted for works in the English Premier League.
Desso's GrassMaster-pitches - whereby a 100 % natural grass pitch is reinforced by 20 million artificial fibres - are used by clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester City, Bolton Wanderers, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. Rugby clubs London Irish, Leicester Tigers, London Wasps and Huddersfield Giants in England and the Ospreys and Cardiff Blues in Wales also play or train on a Desso GrassMaster pitch.
Seems strange to think that pitches you see on the goggle box, and in person if you attend a live match, have travelled just as far as you.
