Following the collapse of the road on the A1 at Kirchberg, an emergency project is to be constructed at exit 8, so as to maintain access to the roundabout Serra (the one with the iron monolith).

Due to these works, two approaches to the roundabout Serra will be closed to all traffic from 4pm Sunday 18 December until 4pm Friday 23 December.

Motorists from direction Gasperich can access the motorway as normal via the underpass beneath the roundabout Serra, but should take an earlier exit to reach the Foire or other residentlal areas of Weimerskerch and Weimershoff.  

For motorists heading in from the highway A7 (Waldhof exchange) and the A1 (Trier), a detour will be set up, including a temporary ramp bypassing the roundabout "Serra" in the direction and directing traffic toward the Foire.

Expect delay.
