Jersey's Josh Band is all set to join up with the Luxembourg table tennis squad in the new year as part of his preparations for two international tournaments.
Band, 18, will undergo a week of training ahead of the Hungarian and Slovenian Opens in January.
Luxembourg are rated 55th in the men's world rankings.
"I'm very much looking forward to some really tough and vigorous training with world-class players," he said.
