Leisure: Yup, the sales have started
Christmas spending is barely finished, yet wallets are being opened once more

Hangovers have barey been shook from tired minds as the ctiy's shops reveal new sales, further reducing prices of stock available pre-Christmas.
Bargain-hunters will be out in force as folk flock to pick up that one item that they were too cheap to buy at regular price is now more affordable.
No fear, the winter sales last until January 21.
German sales also begin today, ending on February 5.
And in France, the sales start much later, January 11, and end on Valentine's day, February 14 - so be warned, check the price of your Valetine's gift, it may have been bought on the sly.
Our Belgian neighbours have until Tuesday before the sales start and can shop till they drop until January 31.
