Winner opinions
We recently gave readers the opportunity to win tickets to attend the Avant-Premiere of the Hollywood adaptation of 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'.
The film is based on the award-winning crime novel by Swedish author and journalist Stieg Larsson. But what did our readers make of the film? We asked them to fill us in.
Here's what they had to say:
"My partner thought it was very good. I too thought it was very good, but not quite as good as the original, which had a bit more grit with the female lead character being somewhat more consistent and the ending of the original was slightly better too (the new film's ending was good, but it felt rather anti-climatic and a bit confusing and left you feeling a little flat especially after what had gone on before). All said we would recommend this film." -Jim Kelly
"We really liked this good movie indeed. This English film adaptation of Stieg Larsson's phenomenally successful book The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is a very intelligent thriller shot in the rainy and snowy landscapes of Sweden. We especially enjoyed the suspense and the build up tensions embodied by Lisbeth Salander (superbly played by newcomer Rooney Mara) and Mikael Blomkvist (famous British actor Daniel Craig). The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is not to be missed and promises 2 more incredible films to follow (small note: this film contains some scenes that may disturb sensitive viewers)" - Lieven & Christina Massez Abayari
"Best film I have seen in a very long time!" -Chris Kibbey
"It was awesome. Super intense, but I'm a fan of murder mysteries..." -Kristen Van Nest
