Skating on Kockelscheuer lake permitted
Exceptional injunction for this weekend with supervision by firemen.

The Luxembourg-City commune has announced in a statement that skating on the frozen Kockelscheuer lake will be exceptionally permitted this weekend.
Test results showed that the ice was thick enough to pose no risk to people willing to skate on it. On Saturday, 11 February and Sunday, 12 February skaters will be allowed onto the frozen lake from 10am until 5pm. They will be supervised during this time period by Luxembourg-City firemen.
Mayor Xavier Bettel took this decision after a few people were seen skating on the lake unsupervised over the past few days. Police were called to force the offenders off the natural rink.
