Want to be a Luxembourg football referee?
Ever thought about being a football referee? Now's your chance as the Federation Luxembougeoise de Football is running a fast-track ref training course starting 27th February.
Are you mad about football? Have you ever thought about being a football referee?
Well now is your chance as the FLF or Federation Luxembougeoise de Football, is searching for interested people to train them as refs.
The FLF will be running a fast-track course on Saturday 27 February and anyone aspiring to become a football ref is welcome, and who knows, you could even end up refereeing league matches.
So what do you need to do become a Luxembourg football referee?
First myth out of the window is language. You don't have to speak Luxembourgish, although it would of course help. Fluency in one or more of the following languages is required: English, French, German, Luxembourgish.
Age: The youngest age you can start to train is 14 years old, boys and girls. Obviously there are age restrictions once you get to refereeing league football matches, but one step at a time, you need to start training first! Training can take several years before refereeing league matches.
Of course being mad about football and knowing the rules of the game, go without saying!
If you are interested the training takes place on 27th February at 9am to 5pm and the Institut National des Sports:
Institut National des Sports
66, rue de Trèves
L- 2630 Luxembourg
