Of all the advertisements, which is the one that drives you the craziest? Which advertisement has you scratching your head wondering what it is all about? Which one has you shaking your head in concern for the lack of creativity? What ads have you in fits of laughter because of the bad copy?

It is about time to name and shame these purveyors of questionable communication and the clients that pay for them... Introducing The Golden Ducks, Alternative Design & Communication Awards.

The first Golden Ducks ceremony were held in Luxembourg on 22nd February 2006, concentrating on the small, but regularly questionable communications of the Grand Ducky.

The 5th Annual Golden Ducks for 2010, Alternative Design & Communication Awards will be held on  Wednesday 24th February 2010 at Exit07 (Carres Rotondes) 1, rue de l'Aciérie, L-1112 Luxembourg-Hollerich.

Doors open: 19.30 and entrance is free!

The award catagories are:

Decoy: Entries with the least evidence of a real advertising/graphic campaign
Déjà -vu: Entries that have a striking resemblance – a ‘definitely seen that before!’
Duckling: Most obvious attempt to appeal to the pubescent!
Einstein: Above average intelligence required to figure out what the entry is about!
Fromage: Cheese, cheesy, fromage!
Lost in Translation: Evidence that there were budget cuts on the translations
Nudist: Most obvious attempt to use nudity or sexual inneundo for lack of anything else
Quack: Most creative use of an animal cousin.
What a load of Quack! (WLQ): That website, frankly… what a load of Quack!
We don’t Quack It! (WDQI): We don’t get it!
We Quack It! (WQI): We get it!
What the Duck?: Most obscure message!
