69 jobs to go at AD Delhaize
Markant Lux S.A. ownd by AD Delhaize is due to cut 69 jobs due to reconstruction of its smaller supermarkets.

AD Delhaize the small “market” versions of the Delhaize supermarkets have taken the decision to demolish and reconstruct their buildings in Gasperich, Differdange, Ettelbruck and Wiltz.
Markant Lux S.A. as the trading name is known in Luxembourg, employs 69 workers and consequently they will be effected by a proposed social plan and lose their jobs as their workplaces will be under reconstruction for a long period.
Delhaize which had 38 stores in its network in late 2009 Luxembourg says it wants to "maintain and safeguard the employment of all personnel" and "keep the skills of staff" within existing outlets but also for those whose opening is planned in 2010 in Esch-Belval and Strassen.
