German police students to patrol in Luxembourg
Nine students from the Police School 'Landes Polizei Schule Hahn' will be on internships with the Police Grand-Ducale
Do not be surprised to see German and Luxembourg police patrolling together for the next few weeks.
The nine German police are in fact students of the School "Police Landes Polizei Schule Hahn" and are in the Grand Duchy on internships to study Luxembourg police.
Students will be assigned to units that actually have operational contact with Germany, so the police and local response centres of Echternach Remich, Grevenmacher and Diekirch are where they will be stationed.
The candidates are all in their third year of training. The aim of the course is to familiarise candidates with the way that Luxembourg police operate and facilitate the continued cross-border police cooperation with future colleagues.
They are perfectly 'armless, and have no power to intervene in Luxembourg.
