Wales thrash Luxembourg ahead of Euro qualifiers
Luxembourg lost to Wales by five goals to one in its second match ahead of the 2012 Euro qualifiers.
Despite being roughly equally matched in terms of landmass, Wales clearly showed it had superior skill on the pitch on Wednesday night.
Luxembourg managed to hold off the opponents during the first half leaving the scores tied 1-1 at half time. But their defences fell apart during the last 45 minutes of the game when the team found itself outnumbered after Mario Mutsch was red carded.
Luxembourg’s struggles on Wednesday have been attributed to the hasty departure of national coach Guy Hellers a week ago.
