Falling tree narrowly misses traffic near Munsbach

A tree fell across the road between Moutfort and Munsbach, just missing the morning traffic. The cause no doubt related to the strong winds and rain the night before.

Drivers on the rue d'Oetrange, between Moutfort and Munsbach, were shocked earlier today as a tree fell into the road, narrowly missing traffic.

The debris blocked both lanes of the road at around 10.15 am. Fortunately nobody was injured in the incident and a maintenance crew, on the way to complete a local job, had materials on hand to break down the trunk and clear away the branches strewn across the road.

Torrential rains and high-winds are probable causes as to why the tree was uprooted and drivers should remain wary when commuting on wooded routes.
