UPDATE: Traffic information during Schueberfouer. Free buses!
Here it is once again. Luxembourg would not be the same without the traditional Schueberfouer! But be warned, several roads are closed or have limited access and some bus services modified.
Free buses!
The great news is that during the Schueberfouer the following bus routes will be free some of the day between the train station and Schueberfouer: 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, 13, 18 and 19. These free periods are from 6pm weekdays and 1pm on Saturdays and Sundays
The bus on demand "Call-a-Bus" system runs Monday to Saturday until 11pm. Within Luxembourg City territory, passengers can choose their destination of choice, regardless of stops, schedules or bus routes. A reservation of at least 45 minutes before pick-up is necessary, tel: 4796-4797.
For those in wheel-chairs, the “Fouer-Rollibus” runs every day from 3:15pm to 10:30pm between the P+R Bouillon and the Schueberfouer, the bus stop being on Boulevard de la Foire outside the Institut National des Langues.
For more information about getting to and from the Schueberfouer, take a look at the website: www.mobiliteit.lu or the official Schueberfouer website: www.fouer.lu

_____________________________________________________________
The 670th Schueberfouer kicks off on Friday and seems as though the 669th edition only just closed down, but it has really been an entire year!
As well as all the jollities, excitement and over indulgence comes traffic problems and road closures, so we thought we'd bring you a little warning and overview of closed streets so that no nasty surprises are encountered (apart from that sick feeling after a gromperekichelcher and the Wild Mouse ride).
Only a few days remain before the traditional Schueberfouer opens, the biggest party in Luxembourg. The Glacis car park is being invaded by the fairground, big trucks and cranes to construct the amusement rides, install electricity, perform the first tests, etc..
Several streets are closed to traffic: allée Scheffer, Avenue Faïencerie (between l'allée Schaeffer and boulevard de la Foire) and part of the avenue Pasteur.Other streets are only accessiblein one direction.
Until 11 September, the City night bus (CN1) will not serve the Glacis or Pescatore bus stops. Passengers must go to Rue des Bains or Hamilius bus stops. The City Shopping Bus service will be suspended until 11 September.
Schueberfouer finishes on 8 September.
