In the top ten of the main day to day frustrations by employees, one that recurs most often is the refusal to take responsibility or accept criticism (for 46.5% of respondents).

Deadlines, or rather not meeting deadlines, strongly irritates 36% of employees, who must bear the brunt of their colleagues failure to uphold their commitments (appointments not kept, deadlines not met, etc..) .

In third position we find the dirty communal area (kitchens, corridors and other meeting areas) that irritates nearly 36% of people. Particularly unpleasant to most people was dirty communal areas or where the toilet brush was not used. Among medium sized businesses (50-249 employees) this figure rises to 46.5%.

Gossip is part and parcel of our society and therefore also in the office. Sometimes, gossip can cause problems, as not everyone is into “juicy” gossip. Moreover, 26.5% of respondents stated that they have been victims of false rumours being spread.

There are those who don't know the basics of hygiene. 20% can't stand unpleasant odors in the office, whether it's a leftover forgotten food , colleague's sweaty armpit smells or even bare feet!

In seventh place is alcohol consumption or smoking in the office. The problem here is quite surprising, given that drinking or smoking is now prohibited in most workplaces! But of the 400 executives surveyed 17% said they were bothered by this issue particularly in Belgium and Luxembourg (22.5%).

There is also the colleague who monopolises meetings and lunches out by continuously regurgitating the same stories ... Over 16% of respondents were irritated.

In every company there is someone who takes it easy. Laziness is frowned upon in the office and disturbs 16% of survey participants.

Finally, in last place comes selfish people who do not think people who follow them. This means people who don't change the toilet roll when it runs out, those who take the last drink or don't put things back in the fridge.

Eduard Schaepman, General Manager of Regus Benelux, explained “a good number of annoyances or frustrations in the office could soon be a thing of the past. We just need to be aware that we live alongside one another and therefore it is in our best interest take account of the existence of our colleagues. "
