Luxtram plans on track, roadworks from Wednesday
Luxtram plans a series of roadworks in Luxembourg City from the station to Schumann roundabout in order to define just exactly where the tram stops will be located.
A series of strategically placed “spot roadworks” will spring up along the future tram route from the station area to the Schumann roundabout from Wednesday, 25 August to Friday, 17 September.
The company Luxtram is launching a second series of studies to clarify the tram-stops for the future line.
From 25 August to 17 September, about thirty boreholes will be drilled along the 3.5km route from the station to the Schumann roundabout.
The geotechnical project will bore 23 holes, each taking half a day to complete and 8 deeper drilling points that will require two working days.
Luxtram warns that, traffic will be diverted along the route when the roadworks start, while each hole is being drilled.
