They're designed to be the cleanest, most comfortable toilets in the world.
“Techno-loo” will open its own lid for you, and then play a selection of your favourite music while you're there. Oh, and it'll set you back over 4,000 euros.
Yet more proof that Japan has become the world leader in high-tec toilets. Ichiro Kojima, Product Manager at Inax explained: "This is a good chance for people all over the world to see Japanese technology and Inax toilets. We're presenting the latest innovations on which we keep on working".
In terms of intelligent toilets, Toto, Japan's top brand, might be smarter than you are. It's designed to adapt to each user's own anatomy. Built-in sensors check your blood pressure, take your temperature, and analyse a urine sample, then email the results straight to your doctor.
"Our society is aging and people have more needs related to they health. Our clients are elderly or middle aged persons concerned by their health. Our toilets can also be interesting for the new generation" stated Akiho Suzuki, top toilet designer.
Healthy customers, but also a healthy planet. Ecological concerns are a top priority, with many companies refining how much water and power their products use.
Yuko Yamashita, Guide Panasonic Center explained: "We don't need a lot of water pressure when you flush with this toilet, so we we can save a lot of water".
It may not be the kind of gadget you want to show off to your friends, but in Japan, toilet technology is fast becoming a crucial part of modern living.
